The Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council has presented the programme for the Sant Llorenç Festival 2026, which will take place from August 8 to 10. The Lluís Companys square will be the epicentre of traditional activities.
The municipality of Sant Feliu de Llobregat is finalising preparations for a new edition of its Sant Llorenç Festival, which will occur from August 8 to 10. The programme, presented by the council, will concentrate most events in the Lluís Companys square, although it will also extend to other locations in the city such as the Cathedral of Sant Llorenç, the gardens of Palau Falguera, or the Sala Ibèria.
Pre-festival events will kick off on Friday, August 7 at 6 PM with a foam party in the Lluís Companys square. From 8:15 PM, a participatory mural will be created, and at 9 PM, there will be a communal dinner. Half an hour later, the GEPS group and Seny i Ordre will present the satirical proclamation and the traditional bell tower descent. The pre-festival day will conclude with a concert by the cover band “Els del darrere” at 10 PM in the Sala Ibèria, followed by music from DJs starting at midnight.
On Saturday, August 8, the festival will officially begin at 9 AM with a fork breakfast on Pi i Margall street. During the morning, the Lluís Companys square will host a cyanotype workshop, storytelling, and a musical vermouth. In the afternoon, the Gegants Vells and the Penjats Band will be responsible for the opening proclamation. The day will continue with an outdoor dinner, comedy monologues, and an outdoor cinema in the plaza de la Salut. The night will end with a “Wisdom Link” session in the main square.
Sunday, August 9, will be dedicated especially to the little ones. In the morning, the Lluís Companys square will host a family area with games, balloon twisting, face painting, a puppet show, and a musical bingo. At 6 PM, the Cathedral of Sant Llorenç will be the venue for the concert “Cordes en dansa,” featuring two suites by Bach performed with cello and dance, with free entry. From 7 PM, the square will again be the centre of activity with traditional bobbin lace-making, the talent show gala “La Llorença da la campanada!”, and another outdoor dinner. During the evening, the 40th anniversary of the Trabucaires and the 30th anniversary of the bell ringers will be celebrated. The gardens of Palau Falguera will offer outdoor cinema, and the Lluís Companys square will host dancing with the Atrium group and the traditional lantern dance, along with DJs until after midnight.
On Monday, August 10, the main day of the festival, it will start with a parade featuring the Gigantes Viejos and the Trabucaires at 10:30 AM, from Palau Falguera to the Sala Ibèria. At the end of the route, the Fiesta Mayor fireworks will be held, along with the dance of the Gigantes Viejos on Pi i Margall street. At 11:45 AM, the bells will ring, followed by the mass of Sant Llorenç at 12 PM in the cathedral. Upon exiting, the Esbart Sant Feliu and the Gigantes Viejos will perform a dance, and a snack will be served in honour of the Llorenç and Llorences, along with a tortilla contest. In the afternoon, at 6 PM, the Lluís Companys square will host the final of the 5th edition of the Trivial Enriqueta Martí and sardanas with the Cobla Baix Llobregat.
The final day will include the “I bring” dinner at 9 PM, followed by a night parade with the ACF Giants and the D’Catxondeig band, which will start from Pi i Margall street and culminate at the Cathedral with the final bell ringing. The grand finale will feature habaneras with the group Mar i Vent and burnt rum provided by the Trabucaires, starting at 10:30 PM in the Lluís Companys square.
During the Fiesta Mayor, the Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council will set up safety points to ensure women's security. These spaces will operate from 10:30 PM to 2 AM: on August 7 they will be in the Sala Ibèria, and on the 8th and 9th, in the Lluís Companys square.
