The Prat de Llobregat Farmers' Market will operate every Saturday in August, except the 15th, in Pau Casals Square, with fresh local products from the Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park.

The Prat de Llobregat Farmers' Market does not close for holidays. Throughout August, the weekly market will continue to offer fresh, seasonal, and local products every Saturday morning in Pau Casals Square, from 8 am to 2 pm. The only exception will be Saturday, August 15th, coinciding with the Assumption holiday, when the market will remain closed.

The specific dates when residents can buy directly from local farmers are August 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th. On these days, the market will offer fruits, vegetables, and other products grown in the Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park, without intermediaries and with the guarantee of quality and freshness that characterises this direct sales space.

The Prat Farmers' Market is a well-established initiative that promotes healthy, sustainable, and zero-kilometre food. The participating producers offer seasonal foods grown following local agricultural practices, contributing to the preservation of agricultural activity in the Llobregat Delta and strengthening the local economy.

One of the distinguishing features of the market is the “Fresh Product” label from the Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park, a seal that identifies foods grown in the agricultural environment of Baix Llobregat and guarantees their quality, origin, and proximity. This seal is a guarantee for consumers looking for trustworthy products with a reduced environmental impact.

Maintaining the market during the summer holidays is a demonstration of the local farmers' commitment to supplying fresh and quality products, and an opportunity for citizens to continue supporting responsible consumption and the agricultural sector in the area. The Prat de Llobregat City Council encourages residents to visit the market during August and fill their baskets with local, healthy, and seasonal products.

For those who are not yet familiar with the Farmers' Market, it is a great opportunity to discover the variety of products from the Agricultural Park, such as tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, courgettes, seasonal fruit, and free-range eggs, among others. Direct contact with farmers allows consumers to learn first-hand about the origin of the food and cultivation practices.

The market is located in Pau Casals Square, a central space that is easily accessible both on foot and by public transport. The hours from 8 am to 2 pm facilitate shopping on Saturday mornings, one of the times during the week when families take the opportunity to do their weekly shopping.

With this continuity during August, the Prat Farmers' Market consolidates itself as an essential event for lovers of good food and local products. Residents of Prat and nearby municipalities have the opportunity to enjoy fresh and seasonal products while supporting the farmers of Baix Llobregat.
