From 11 to 13 September, Sant Boi de Llobregat will host the 37th edition of the Altaveu Festival, bringing together rock pioneers like Los Sírex with emerging bands such as Dan Peralbo i el Comboi. 091 and La Perra Blanco will also perform.
The Altaveu Festival in Sant Boi de Llobregat will celebrate its 37th edition from 11 to 13 September with a programme that bridges generations. The lineup includes the historic Los Sírex, formed in 1959, and the recent revelation of Catalan rock, Dan Peralbo i el Comboi, along with groups like 091 and La Perra Blanco.
Los Sírex, considered pioneers of Spanish rock, remain active more than 65 years after their founding. The band, led by 82-year-old Antoni Miquel “Leslie”, maintains a repertoire based on their greatest hits such as La escoba and Que se mueran los feos. At the Altaveu, they will receive one of the Altaveu Awards, which will also be presented to Dan Peralbo i el Comboi.
Dan Peralbo i el Comboi, hailing from Torelló, have established themselves as one of the freshest proposals in the new Catalan rock scene. Their irreverent style and generational lyrics have resonated with a young audience that champions rock as a contemporary language. The group will share the stage with Los Sírex in a generational contrast that embodies the spirit of the festival.
Another highlight will be 091, the Granada band that has influenced several generations with anthems like La canción del espantapájaros. Known as Los Cero, they return to the Altaveu as icons of honest and resilient rock. La Perra Blanco, a Cádiz artist who has made a strong impact on the European rock and roll scene with an explosive live performance, will also be present.
The festival, held in various venues across Sant Boi, focuses on a programme that combines established names with emerging talents. The organisation emphasises that Altaveu not only programmes concerts but also builds a musical narrative that connects the past and the future. In this edition, the Altaveu Awards specifically recognise that trajectory and projection.
