The itinerant exhibition 'Impact Poetry', which combines amateur photography and poetry, will dock in Sant Boi de Llobregat following its success in Barcelona and Oviedo. The exhibition includes twenty poems inspired by the images of two photographers.

The 'Impact Poetry' exhibition, which merges photography and poetry, will arrive in Sant Boi de Llobregat after its tour through various Spanish cities. The exhibition, which originated in 2024 at the Centre Cívic Pati Llimona in Barcelona, has been included in the official programme of the Barcelona Poetry Festival 2025 and has visited locations such as Oviedo, Zaragoza, and Viladecans.

In this second edition, photographers Francesc G Rabella and Maite Jou provide their images to ten poets, who select one photograph from each and create twenty poems inspired by them. The result is a dialogue between image and word that invites the audience to a creative and open experience.

The participating poets are Gustavo Vega, M. Antonia Massanet, Josep A. Soldevila, Amàlia Sanchís, Carles Ribó, Susanna G. Turigas, Pedro Alcarria, Carla Fajardo, Francisco-Javier Solé, and Montse Ordóñez. The exhibition aims to bring both artistic languages closer to a diverse audience, fostering the fusion between the visual and the literary.

According to the organisers, the initiative was born with the aim of promoting amateur photography and contemporary poetry. The Centre Cívic Pati Llimona, located in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, is a benchmark for amateur photography and has been the seed of this project.

The exhibition has received an excellent reception at its previous stops. After its time in Sant Boi de Llobregat, the exhibition will continue its tour. The third edition is currently being prepared, which will be inaugurated in September 2026 in Barcelona, and it is expected to be offered again in Oviedo in 2027.

In addition to its artistic value, the exhibition contributes to promoting Oviedo as a candidate for the European Capital of Culture in 2031. The organisers have highlighted that the exhibition is an invitation to look, feel, and be carried away by image and word.

In Sant Boi, the exhibition will be open for visits on dates yet to be confirmed, although it is expected to be during the next year. Interested parties can follow the project's social media to learn the exact dates and the spaces where it will be installed.

The initiative has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the photographers and poets, as well as the civic and cultural centres hosting the exhibition. 'Impact Poetry' is consolidating as a reference project in the fusion of visual and literary arts.
