The Basque streamer has equipped a training area in his new home in Barcelona valued at over half a million euros, with professional machines and a 60-inch screen.
Ibai Llanos has transformed the old garage of his new house in Barcelona into a gym valued at over 500,000 euros, as the content creator himself revealed on his social media. The facility, which includes everything from strength machines to a giant 60-inch screen, is part of his personal commitment to improve his health after losing around 75 kilos.
The Bilbao streamer moved to his current residence three years ago, valued at over 4 million euros, after selling his previous mansion in Terranova de Bellaterra, in the municipality of Cerdanyola del Vallès. That property, which belonged to former FC Barcelona footballer Samuel Eto'o between 2004 and 2008, was purchased by Llanos a decade later and put on the market for 4.1 million euros through the luxury real estate agency Engel & Völkers.
The former home, spanning over 2,400 square meters across three floors, featured eight bedrooms, a cinema with projector, a nightclub with DJ booth, a wine cellar, Turkish bath, sauna, pool with jacuzzi, and a garage for seven cars. It was the operational centre for KOI, the e-sports team that Ibai founded with Gerard Piqué.
Now, in his new home, Llanos has dedicated an entire room to training. The gym renovation took eight months, although Ibai himself has acknowledged that he hasn't paid for everything out of pocket: the machines were gifted by brands he collaborates with. "I don't have any luxury beyond my house, which is spectacular, and I know the blessing and luck I have," the gamer stated on his social media.
The space, which replaces the old garage and a yoga room that was on the ground floor, is divided into a strength area and a cardio area. Among the equipment are an Olympic bar, a Z bar, a hexagonal bar for deadlifts, dumbbells of all weights, an incline press, T-bar row, multipower, Gironda row, chest pull-down, benches for biceps and triceps, and a triceps dip machine. It also features two treadmills, a stationary bike, an elliptical, and a hip thrust machine.
Additionally, the gym includes a giant 60-inch screen for playing music, videos, or connecting to the internet. Large windows overlooking the garden fill the room with natural light, and the walls, painted white and covered in mirrors, resemble a professional gym. There is also a storage area and a refrigerator.
Ibai Llanos has explained that his motivation for creating this gym is health. "It's a matter of health and taking care of oneself, especially for someone like me, who hasn't taken care of himself for so many years," he emphasised. The streamer, who has made his weight loss journey public, considers training a priority in his daily life.
The investment in the gym, exceeding 500,000 euros, reflects the content creator's commitment to his physical well-being. He has detailed that the equipment is "much more complete than some known gyms and sports centres."
