The alert to 1-1-2 of Castilla y León was received just before 17:13 hours. Several people reported that the girl had been pulled from the water unconscious. Local police, the Civil Guard, and a large medical team from Sacyl, which included a medical helicopter, a basic life support ambulance, and personnel from the local health centre, were dispatched to the scene.
The medical staff performed resuscitation maneuvers for several minutes, but ultimately could only confirm the young girl's death at the scene. So far, no further details about the victim's identity or the exact circumstances of the drowning have been released.

On the same day, at Coco beach in Badalona, a 71-year-old woman lost her life after suffering a cardiac arrest while swimming. Beach lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, which were continued unsuccessfully by the medical emergency services that arrived at the scene.
Authorities remind the importance of taking extra precautions in aquatic environments, especially in unmonitored rivers and beaches. So far this year, more than 150 people have drowned in Spain, according to data from the Royal Spanish Federation of Lifesaving and Rescue.
