Midfielder Laura Porta, who took her first steps in roller hockey at Sant Cugat, will continue to defend the colours of Bembibre Hockey Club during the 2026/27 season. The player, originally from Vila-sana (Lleida) and born on November 28, 2001, will thus complete her third consecutive campaign with the Bercian team, having arrived from the Sant Cugat club.
Porta has become a key player in the midfield for Bembibre, standing out for her technical quality, game vision, and powerful shot. In the past season of the OK Liga Iberdrola, the Catalan player recorded four assists and eight goals, figures that reflect her offensive capability and influence on the team's play.
The 24-year-old player expressed her satisfaction with the continuity. "I am very happy to be able to defend this badge and carry the name of Bembibre across Europe," she stated after her renewal was confirmed. Porta is confident in the growth of the sports project: "The group has gained experience, and I firmly believe that this year we will take a step forward."
Porta's career includes a notable record in youth categories. With Vila-sana, she was the champion of the women's under-16 Spanish championship in 2015 and the runner-up in Catalonia in the same category. She was also part of the team that achieved promotion to the OK Liga in 2017. Her progression led her to participate in several training sessions for the Spanish national team at the High-Performance Centre during 2018 and 2019, and that same year she won the Territorial Selections Championship with Lleida and the Autonomous Selections Championship with Catalonia.
Now, Porta faces the new season with optimism and clear personal goals: "I want to continue growing personally, bringing my winning character and giving my best to be as high up as possible."
