Sant Cugat del Vallès will sign an agreement with Changzhou to promote joint projects in innovation, electric mobility, and renewable energies.

Sant Cugat del Vallès takes a decisive step towards its internationalisation with the upcoming trip of a municipal delegation to Changzhou, a Chinese city located in Jiangsu province. Led by Mayor Josep Maria Vallès, the mission aims to finalise a cooperation agreement that strengthens economic, technological, and academic ties between both locations.

Strategic agreement for innovation and development in Sant Cugat and Changzhou

The visit will focus on the Wujin district, a key industrial hub in Changzhou, where a Framework Agreement for Collaboration between Cities for Economic Promotion and Innovation will be signed. According to sources from the Sant Cugat City Council, this agreement will establish stable channels to facilitate joint initiatives between companies, universities, research centres, and innovation agents from both territories.

The alliance aims to promote knowledge transfer and talent exchange, as well as encourage investment attraction and the creation of opportunities that connect the business and academic ecosystems of Sant Cugat and Changzhou, expanding the international network of the Barcelona municipality.

Priority areas for cooperation between Sant Cugat and Changzhou
