Castelldefels repairs the Church parking lot pavement from Monday

The Church parking lot in Castelldefels, with 87 spaces, is repairing its pavement from August 17 for a week without fully closing.

The works will start on August 17 and will last for a week. The 87-space parking lot will not be completely closed at any time.

The Castelldefels Town Hall will begin next Monday, August 17, the repair works of the cobblestone pavement of the Church parking lot, located behind the Church of Santa María. The works are expected to last approximately one week.

This is a parking lot with 87 spaces in the city centre, very close to the town hall. The operation has been organised so that it will not be necessary to close the entire parking lot at any time: only the areas where work is being done will be cordoned off with barriers, allowing the space to remain operational.

As an alternative, the Town Hall recommends the public parking at the CEM Centre, the former Club Tennis Castelldefels, located at Doctor Barraquer street, 32.

The Church parking lot is part of the city's smart parking network, which provides real-time information on available free spaces. This system, promoted by the town hall, allows residents and visitors to check the occupancy of the main parking lots, reducing search time and traffic congestion.

This initiative is part of the Smart City strategy of Castelldefels, aimed at applying technological solutions to improve urban management and the quality of public services.

During the week of works, drivers visiting the area should anticipate possible occasional inconveniences and, if the Church parking lot is full due to the works, they can head to the alternative parking at the CEM Centre.
