Alicia Tomás Martínez, spokesperson for Vox in the Terrassa City Council, has reported an assault that occurred on July 18 in a shopping centre in the city, at the hands of three North Africans. The victim claims that her life and that of her children was in danger.

The Vox spokesperson in the Terrassa City Council, Alicia Tomás Martínez, has filed a complaint with the Municipal Police regarding the assault she suffered on July 18 in a shopping centre in the city. According to her account, a group of three North Africans approached her while she was accompanied by her children, attacking her and causing bruises and contusions to her leg and arm.

Tomás stated: "My life and that of my children was in danger. I received very strong blows from an individual who is part of a group of three North Africans that caused me bruises and contusions to my leg and arm. The medical report is in the possession of the Municipal Police."

The spokesperson explained that, in addition to the physical assaults, she suffered continuous insults while the aggressors followed her on foot with "intimidating intent." One of the alleged perpetrators has already been identified, according to Tomás, who recognised him days later during the final of the America Cup.

"One of the aggressors has already been identified," the spokesperson stated.

In a statement, Vox Terrassa condemned the events and denounced what it considers a "constant harassment campaign" against its spokesperson. Tomás directly pointed at the municipal government team, led by Mayor Jordi Ballart, and part of the opposition: "Some point me out in the Plenary and others finish the job on the street." She also questioned: "Why doesn’t Ballart defend the women of Terrassa?".

The events took place in a context of growing tension in the municipality, where the debate on public safety and immigration is recurrent. Tomás concluded: "The women of Terrassa cannot be safe while these groups of savages impose their law."

The Municipal Police of Terrassa has opened an investigation to clarify the events. So far, no arrests have been made, although sources close to the case confirm that the identification of one of the aggressors could accelerate the proceedings. The complaint includes the medical report that certifies the injuries.

This incident adds to other episodes of violence recorded in the city in recent months, which have reopened the debate on safety in public spaces. The municipal government, for its part, has not officially commented on the case, although council sources assure that the judicial process will be respected.

The Vox spokesperson has announced that she will appear as a private accuser and has called for "more protection for women" and "a firm response against crime." Meanwhile, the municipal group of Vox has announced that it will bring the case to the next plenary to demand explanations from the mayor.
