FC Badalona Women announced on Thursday the signing of Laura Requena 'Lauri', a 36-year-old midfielder coming from Granada CF, where she played 361 official matches and scored 198 goals over 13 seasons. The player, born in Caudete (Albacete), becomes the sixth reinforcement for the Badalona team for the 2026-27 season.
Lauri Requena, who plays as an attacking midfielder, is known for her consistency: in her three seasons in Liga F, she played all 90 possible league matches. Her technical quality, game vision, and ability to play between the lines make her a standout player in offensive construction.
The player did not hide her satisfaction after confirming her arrival:

With Lauri's arrival, FC Badalona Women adds experience and leadership to a squad that has already included Vicky Losada, Mirari Uría, Lucía Martínez (Deportivo Abanca), Izarne Sarasola (Nantes), and Txell Font (FC Barcelona B). Additionally, the club has promoted Nerea Carmona, U19 European champion, who was already a starter last season.
The midfielder will wear the number 14 shirt and will be under the orders of Marc Ballester to start pre-season. The Badalona team has already begun training and aims to be one of the most ambitious teams in Spanish women's football.
