The amphitheatre of Muntanyeta park will host the broadcast of Spain-Argentina from 20:30, with entertainment from Ràdio Sant Boi. The City Council is finalising preparations for fans to experience the historic final together.

The Spanish National Football Team will be vying for their second World Cup star against Argentina this Sunday, and Sant Boi de Llobregat is joining the celebration with a giant screen in the amphitheatre of Muntanyeta park. The City Council has confirmed that the broadcast will start at 20:30, half an hour before the kick-off, and will feature live entertainment from Ràdio Sant Boi.

Access to the venue will be free, and capacity will be limited, so it is recommended to arrive early. The council has not detailed any special restrictions, but reminds that the use of fireworks and entry with glass bottles is prohibited in public spaces. The local police will increase surveillance in the area to ensure the safety of attendees.

Sant Boi is not the only municipality in Baix Llobregat preparing for the big event. More than a dozen towns in the region have announced giant screens in squares and parks, with timings starting between 19:00 and 21:00. In Cornellà de Llobregat, for example, the Parc Esportiu Llobregat will open its doors at 19:30; in Castelldefels, there will be music and a DJ from 20:00; and in Viladecans, the Parc del Torrent Ballester will also offer pre-match entertainment with a bar service.

A Historic Final Mobilising the Entire Region

Anticipation is at its peak. Spain reaches the final after an impeccable run in the tournament, and Argentina, with Messi still in memory, presents a formidable challenge. For fans in Baix Llobregat, the chance to watch the match on a giant screen is an opportunity to share the excitement without having to travel to Barcelona, where screens will also be set up in places like Plaça de Catalunya.

In Sant Boi, the City Council has chosen an iconic location: the amphitheatre of Muntanyeta, an outdoor space with a capacity for several hundred people. The choice is not coincidental: the park, located on a hill, offers a panoramic view of the city and an atmosphere that promises to be festive. However, those wanting a good spot will need to rise early (or rather, not take a late afternoon nap).

The World Cup final will take place at 21:00 (Spanish peninsular time). The match pits two teams that already know what it’s like to lift the Cup: Spain did it in 2010, Argentina in 2022. Now, one of them will add their second title. For La Roja supporters, attending is almost a must: World Cup finals don’t happen every day.

Recommendations for Enjoying the Match in Sant Boi

The City Council recommends wearing comfortable clothing and, if a cool night is expected, a jacket (temperatures in July can drop after sunset). There will be no bar service in the amphitheatre, although bringing food and drink is allowed, as long as it is not in glass containers. Attendees can also bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on the grass, as the amphitheatre has seating but the space extends to the adjacent green area.

For those who arrive late, the City Council reminds that the match can also be followed on Ràdio Sant Boi (107.9 FM) if anyone prefers to listen from home or in the car. And for the more tech-savvy, the television broadcast will be provided by RTVE (La 1), which will air the match live across the country.

In short, Sant Boi is dressing in red for a night that promises to be historic. May the best team win… or rather, may Spain win. Just in case, they are already warming up their voices at Muntanyeta.
