The Morro Fi vermouth bar, located in T1, is the first of its kind in the entire Aena network and reinforces the commitment to local gastronomy at the airport.

Barcelona-El Prat Airport has inaugurated its first vermouth bar, a space from the Barcelona brand Morro Fi that adds to the gastronomic offering of terminal T1. This is the first establishment of this type in the entire network of airports managed by Aena, as confirmed by sources from the airport manager.

The vermouth bar is located in the Longitudinal Dock of T1 and is managed by the company Areas. Its opening is part of the new catering contract awarded by Aena this year, which aims to renew and diversify the food and drink offerings at the Barcelona airport.

Aena explains that the objective of this new phase is to “bet on a diverse, innovative gastronomic offering connected to the territory.” The incorporation of brands with their own identity, such as Morro Fi, aims to allow travellers to engage with local culture even before flying.

Morro Fi is a brand of artisan vermouth based in Barcelona, known for its local production and presence in the city’s bars. Its arrival at the airport represents a further step in Aena's strategy to bring local products closer to passengers.

The vermouth bar offers a menu of house vermouths, as well as typical Catalan snacks, such as olives, patatas bravas, or preserves. The space has been designed to evoke the classic vermouth bars found in traditional establishments, with a style that combines tradition and modernity.

With this opening, El Prat Airport strengthens its commitment to gastronomy as a differentiating element. In recent years, the terminal has been incorporating signature dining proposals, such as the presence of renowned chefs or the offering of local products.

The Morro Fi vermouth bar joins other gastronomic initiatives at the airport, such as the presence of local fast food brands or the offering of wines and cavas from the Penedès Denomination of Origin. The idea is for travellers to taste typical products from the region without leaving the terminal.

The new catering contract, awarded by Aena in early 2026, includes the renovation of a significant portion of the establishments in T1 and T2. Among the innovations, there is a focus on local brands and a reduction in the offering of generic international chains.

Aena sources have indicated that the vermouth bar has been well received by passengers, especially among international travellers looking to try local products. The expectation is that, in the coming months, new gastronomic concepts linked to the territory will be incorporated.

El Prat Airport is the second largest in Spain, with over 50 million passengers per year. The focus on local gastronomy also aims to enhance the image of Barcelona and Catalonia as a quality tourist destination.

The Morro Fi vermouth bar opens every day of the week in the morning and afternoon, adjusted to the scheduled flights in T1. Prices are similar to those of a conventional vermouth bar in the city, as this newspaper has confirmed.
