Vilassar Mar and Cerdanyola Vallès have begun preseason training this week with practically renewed squads. Both teams aim to improve on last season's records, especially Cerdanyola, who secured their place in the league on the final day.

Vilassar de Mar and Cerdanyola del Vallès have kicked off their respective preseasons with the goal of approaching the new season with confidence. Both teams, competing in regional categories, have opted for significant changes in their squads after a previous season marked by difficulties.

In the case of Vilassar Mar, the squad is completely new. Last season, Espanyol covered the entire budget and provided all the players, but that partnership has ended. Now, the Maresme team starts from scratch with a group of footballers from various clubs. Coach Met Borotau has concluded the transfer window with the signings of Bambo, Albin, ‘Ramu’ and Álex Gonpi.

The Vilassar Mar squad consists of goalkeepers Agustín Mora (Vic) and Pol Cordero (Cornellà); defenders Albert Estellés (Vic), Adrià Mora (Vilanova), Josep Roma (Peralada), Pau Guillem (Manresa), Lucas Pariente (Mollerussa), Joan Bauzà, Bambo and Gerard Barri (Cerdanyola); midfielders Esteve Monterde (Cerdanyola), Joan Páez (Montañesa), Víctor Granero (unattached), Pol Cuatrecases (Peralada), Javi Antoñedo (L’Hospitalet) and Dani Rocafull (Badalona); and forwards Salim (Espanyol), Pau Almarcha (Argentona), Sehou Omar Sarr (Tona), Pol Marín ‘Júnior’ (Badalona), Malamine Badiane (Premià), Jaume Ramoneda ‘Ramu’ (Can Vidalet), Álex Gonpi (Salamanca) and Albin (Reims B team). Additionally, Master Omar (Peralada) has joined the initial training sessions.

On the other hand, Cerdanyola Vallès does not want to repeat the struggles of last season, when they secured their place in the league on the last day after winning at Can Vidalet. Coach Alberto Aybar ‘Peque’ has started preseason with several signings, including Víctor López, the renewal of Guifré Bernabeu, and the loans of Marcos and Ibai Reche from Cornellà.

The Cerdanyola squad includes goalkeepers Álvaro Aljama and Víctor López (Badalona); defenders Alejandro González, Víctor Pitarque, Iván Bustamante, Rubén Navarro (Ciudad Cooperativa), David Pons, Óscar Reche (Badalona), Héctor Parrado (San Cristóbal), Iván Ortega (Castelldefels), Guifré Bernabeu and Marcos (Cornellà); midfielders Marco Gil, Éric Ruiz, Ignasi Varona (FEG), Abde Ouliad and Ibai Reche (Cornellà); and forwards Pablo Ufano (Prat), David Castelló, Javi López, Fares (Montañesa) and Pol Ballesteros (L’Hospitalet).

Both teams have several weeks of preparation ahead of them before the start of the competition. Fans of Vilassar de Mar and Cerdanyola del Vallès hope that the new faces and the enthusiasm of the coaching staff will translate into a calmer season than the previous one.
