The gin brand, born in Vilanova i la Geltrú in 1940, has announced its presence at four popular festivals in Spain, with the local Festa Major as the first stop.
Gin MG Brisa, the new lighter and fresher variant of the historic Vilanova gin, has confirmed its presence at the Festa Major of Vilanova i la Geltrú, which will take place between late July and early August. This will be the first of four stops on its summer tour, which also includes the Semana Grande of Bilbao, the Barraques of Sitges, and the Feria de la Virgen de la Cruz on the Costa del Sol.
The company, founded in 1940 by Manuel Giró and which maintains its production in the capital of Garraf, links this campaign to live music, local festivals, and outdoor meeting spaces. Gin MG Brisa is presented as a proposal designed for easy consumption, with notes of mandarin, pine, fig, and laurel, while maintaining the hand-picked juniper.
In its hometown, the brand will be present at the traditional barracas with promotional glasses and hats, as well as setting up a photocall in the main square. The action will take place alongside emblematic events such as the castellers, correfocs, and gegants, reinforcing the connection with local traditions.
"We want to accompany social gatherings in squares, festive venues, and open spaces, with special attention to locations in the northern peninsula and the coastline," the brand explains. The tour kicks off in Vilanova i la Geltrú, where the company has its roots and where the Festa Major is one of the most anticipated events of the year.
After the Vilanova stop, Gin MG Brisa will move on to the Semana Grande of Bilbao, from August 22 to 30. There, the brand will have an exclusive txosna for the first time during the nine days of celebration in the capital of Biscay, consolidating its historical relationship with the Basque Country.
The third stop will be in Sitges, from August 14 to 16, within the Barraques of the Festa Major. The brand will target its presence to concert-goers and DJ sessions, with direct service in the barracas during the nights of the event.
The route will also include the Feria de la Virgen de la Cruz, on August 16, at El Parador, on the Costa del Sol. On that day, Gin MG will set up an activation to introduce both its classic gin and the new Brisa to locals and visitors.
Gin MG is part of the catalog of Amer Global Brands, a family business specializing in the representation and development of beverage brands in Iberia, operating in Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands, and Andorra. The company works in both the hospitality channel and commercial distribution.
The brand claims to be one of the first gins produced in Spain since the mid-20th century, with a manual production process in copper stills under the London Dry Gin style. To serve Gin MG Brisa, they recommend a long drink glass filled with plenty of ice, between 4 and 5 cl of gin, very cold tonic served gently, lemon peel, and a minute of resting before drinking.
The Festa Major of Vilanova i la Geltrú is one of the most emblematic celebrations of Garraf, and the presence of a local brand like Gin MG reinforces the participatory nature of the festival. Attendees will be able to taste the new variety at the barracas and take home a souvenir from the brand.
