The big prize of the day was sold in the Segre industrial estate in Lleida, by the seller Sergio Martín, who with three and a half years of experience has achieved the largest prize in ONCE's history. Upon hearing the news, Martín stated: "Hooray! I've made a grand debut, with immense excitement. Today I've given out the lottery of my life. I'm very happy because I've made a customer very happy and indirectly my city as well."
The Eurojackpot is a European draw held on Fridays, with a mechanism similar to other games of chance: participants must guess five numbers from a first matrix and two stars from a second. The winning bet of the first category, which corresponded to Lleida, consisted of five numbers plus two stars.
