Joventut Badalona and Romauto Nissan, with the support of Nissan Spain, have signed a sponsorship agreement that will unite both entities for the coming years. The collaboration includes brand presence at the Olympic Pavilion and the provision of official vehicles for the first team.

Joventut Badalona and Romauto Nissan, backed by Nissan Spain, have reached a sponsorship agreement that will make the dealership one of the commercial partners of the green and black team. The alliance, which will last for several seasons, aims to combine the values of both entities around excellence, innovation, and social commitment.

The agreement was signed by the president of Joventut, Juan Antonio Morales Abrisqueta, and the manager of Romauto Nissan, Josep Garcia, at an event held in Badalona. According to the officials, the collaboration will go beyond mere brand visibility and will include joint actions aimed at promoting sports and social integration in the city.

As part of the agreement, Nissan will have a prominent presence in the advertising supports of the Olympic Pavilion in Badalona, the Olympic Arena, where Joventut plays its home matches. Additionally, the Japanese brand will become the official vehicle supplier for the first team, which from September will use the third-generation Nissan Qashqai e-POWER as its official car.

A Partnership with Local Roots

Romauto Nissan, a dealership founded in 1978, has consolidated its presence in Badalona since opening its establishment in the city in 2009. The firm, part of the Groupe Maurin since 2022, is currently the largest dealership group of the brand by volume of operations in Spain, with locations in the provinces of Barcelona and Girona.

For the president of Joventut, Juan Antonio Morales, “it is an honour to welcome Romauto Nissan and Nissan Spain as new travel companions.” Morales highlighted that “this alliance unites two entities with a shared vision based on excellence, innovation, and commitment to society,” and expressed confidence that the collaboration “will go beyond brand visibility and will allow us to continue driving projects that benefit our fans and the entire community.”

For his part, Josep Garcia, manager of Romauto Nissan, stated that “we are excited about the start of a new collaboration with the Joventut Badalona Club, with which we share many values in managing a strong, efficient, and competitive team.” Garcia compared the work of the dealership to that of the club: “Just like us, who with our human team provide mobility solutions for the utmost satisfaction of our customers.”

Electrified Vehicles for the Team

One of the first actions planned after the summer break will be the delivery of the official cars for the first team, which will take place in early September at the Olympic Pavilion. The players of Joventut will be able to drive the Nissan Qashqai e-POWER from that moment on, an SUV that combines the sensations of an electric vehicle with a range of up to 1,280 kilometres, thanks to the e-POWER technology that drives the wheels solely through an electric motor without the need for external charging.

The vehicle stands out for a combined consumption of only 4.3 litres per 100 kilometres and CO₂ emissions of 98 grams per kilometre, figures that outperform many equivalent diesel models. The 1.5 Turbo combustion engine acts solely as a generator, always operating in its most efficient range.

Christian Costaganna, CEO of Nissan Motor Spain, valued the alliance as “a pride to join the Joventut Badalona Club, a reference sports institution that shares with our company values such as teamwork, effort, and commitment to people.” Costaganna emphasized that the collaboration, driven alongside Romauto Nissan, “strengthens our ties with Catalonia” and will allow “us to continue promoting more sustainable and accessible mobility while supporting an entity that inspires generations both on and off the court.”

Founded in 1930, Joventut Badalona is one of the historic clubs of Spanish basketball, with national and international titles and a renowned youth academy that has trained elite players. The agreement with Nissan Romauto reinforces its strategy of local sponsorships at a time when the club seeks to consolidate its sports and social project in Badalona.
