The municipal alternative nightlife programme for young people in Castelldefels concludes this Saturday with a football tournament and another for volleyball at the CEM Can Roca. More than 1,100 young people have participated this year.
The programme "A la nit, una altra moguda", the healthy nightlife initiative of the Castelldefels City Council, celebrates its sports closure this Saturday, July 25, with a double competition at the CEM Can Roca. From 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM, the young people of the municipality will be able to compete in a football tournament and another for volleyball, in a night that promises sport, camaraderie, and a good atmosphere.
The football tournament will be played in teams of a maximum of five people, while the volleyball tournament will be mixed with groups of up to nine participants. The organisation has arranged for refereeing services and, in addition to the competition, teams will have the chance to win prizes, trophies, and other surprises prepared for the occasion.
This sporting event marks the final touch to an edition that has recorded a record participation. According to municipal sources, more than 1,100 young people have taken part in the various activities of the programme over the past few weeks, consolidating the initiative as a reference for alternative, healthy, and safe nightlife in the locality.
The programme, which combines sports, recreational, and social activities, aims to provide the young people of Castelldefels with an option for nightlife that is away from less healthy habits, promoting values such as respect, teamwork, and active participation.
The closing night at the CEM Can Roca will be the culmination of a programme that has included multiple proposals over the past few weeks, all of which are free and designed for young people aged approximately 12 to 30 years. The Castelldefels City Council has highlighted the positive reception of this edition, which has managed to mobilise over a thousand young people from the municipality.
