The Castellers of Castelldefels, known as the Grocs, will be the stars of this day which, although the date is yet to be confirmed, promises to fill the heart of the municipality with tradition and teamwork.
The event is part of the celebration of the 44th anniversary of the Agrupació de Cultura Popular de Castelldefels (ACPC), an entity founded in 1982 that has established itself as a cultural reference in the locality. During the day, the Grocs will not only showcase their constructions but will also invite residents to actively participate by forming a pinya, the human circle that supports and secures the castellers.
Under the motto 'La colla és per a tu' (The group is for you), the group aims to take advantage of the Festa Major to open its doors to new members. The organisers remind that no prior experience or specific physical condition is needed to join the group. People of all ages and backgrounds can find in the castells a space to share values such as teamwork, trust, and personal growth.
To facilitate the first contact, two open rehearsals for all audiences have been scheduled at the headquarters of the Agrupació de Cultura Popular. The first will be on Wednesday, August 7 at 21:00, and the second on Sunday, August 11 at 19:00. Both sessions are free and do not require prior registration.
