The Nous Talents de Castelldefels competition has concluded its 2026 edition with Besta (music) and Marina Walpercin (dance) as the first prize winners. Over three days, the Jardins del Castell and the Teatre Plaza hosted dozens of performances by young artists from the municipality.
The Nous Talents de Castelldefels competition experienced its most intense weekend with the semifinals and the grand final held between 17 and 19 July. A total of fourteen finalists —ten in music and four in dance— competed for the prizes in an edition that has solidified the event as a platform for young talent in Baix Llobregat.
Besta and Marina Walpercin, the big winners
The first prize in music went to Besta, who managed to impress the jury with their artistic proposal. In dance, the winner was Marina Walpercin, who stood out for her interpretation and staging. Both will have the opportunity to perform at the Festa Major d'Estiu de Castelldefels, a recognition that will allow them to showcase their talent to the entire municipality.
The second prize in music was awarded to Mar Núñez, and the third to Indira Molina. In dance, the second place was shared by Clara del Hoyo Corral and Alexandra Bonafé Mayorgas, while the third was awarded to UKAJUNIOR.
An event that grows year after year
Nous Talents kicked off on Friday 17 July with the first semifinal at the Jardins del Castell, an outdoor space that hosted music and dance performances. The following day, Saturday 18, the second semifinal took place at the same venue. Finally, on Sunday 19, the Teatre Plaza was the setting for the grand final, with a jury that evaluated artistic quality, interpretation, and staging.
The Castelldefels City Council has highlighted the high level of the participants and congratulated both the winners and the other finalists. According to municipal sources, the competition has become an unmissable event in the city's cultural summer, with an audience that filled the various venues throughout the three days.
Beyond the prizes: a platform for emerging talent
Nous Talents not only awards prizes but also opens doors for young artists from Castelldefels. The inclusion of the winners in the programming of the Festa Major d'Estiu is an example of how the competition promotes emerging careers. Additionally, the contest fosters cultural participation and creativity among the youth of the municipality, providing a space to develop their artistic skills.
For attendees, the experience was rewarding, with performances ranging from live music to contemporary dance choreographies. The good atmosphere and the quality of the proposals were the highlights of a weekend that undoubtedly sets a high bar for the next edition.
