The Cibernàrium of Barcelona Activa launches a catalogue of over 100 free technological training courses, with a special focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, for Barcelonians to update their digital skills during the summer.
Barcelona Activa, through its Cibernàrium, has launched an ambitious training offer for the summer months. More than 100 free courses in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analysis, and programming are available for anyone interested in improving their digital skills at no cost.
Flexible training for all paces
Most of the courses are asynchronous, allowing participants to train from home and at their own pace, without fixed schedules. Each training lasts between 1 and 6 hours, adding up to a total of more than 270 hours of content.
Additionally, the programme includes 15 live activities through the Virtual Classroom and 10 in-person courses during August, with 400 places available. This combination aims to adapt to the needs of those who work, are on holiday, or have other responsibilities.
Artificial intelligence, the central theme of summer
Generative artificial intelligence is the main focus of the summer offer. The courses cover everything from creating chatbots to the practical use of ChatGPT and other assistants, as well as the impact of AI on decision-making, digital marketing, and product development.
Training is also offered that combines AI with creative tools, such as content design and digital branding, aimed at professionals and entrepreneurs who want to integrate this technology into their daily lives.
“AI is consolidating as a transversal axis of the programme, and we want Barcelonians to be able to take advantage of it with criteria and security,” sources from Barcelona Activa state.
Cybersecurity and other key areas
Beyond AI, the catalogue includes courses on cybersecurity, programming, web development, data analysis, digital marketing, and personal productivity. For example, attendees can learn the fundamentals of data protection, improve a business's digital presence, or get started in programming languages like Python.
The training is designed to be practical and immediately applicable, with short modules and real examples. According to Barcelona Activa, the goal is for participants to incorporate the learnings into their professional projects or job search before the start of the new academic year.
How to register and deadlines
Registrations are already open and are managed exclusively through the Cibernàrium website. There is no limit to the number of courses per person, although places for in-person and live activities are limited. It is recommended to book in advance.
For Barcelonians looking to take advantage of the summer to upskill professionally, this is a unique opportunity: quality training, free and tailored to the demands of the job market.
