L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will not be under a yellow alert for high temperatures this Friday, according to AEMET. Clear skies are expected in the morning, giving way to clouds and a maximum of 33 degrees.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow alert for maximum temperatures this Friday in the province of Barcelona, but L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will be excluded from this warning. According to the forecast, the day will start with clear skies from dawn, although from midday onwards, cloud cover will increase, leading to an overcast sky by the end of the day.
Temperatures will hardly vary compared to previous days. The maximum will be around 33 degrees, while the minimum will be 25. Winds will be light, coming from the east, with no significant gusts expected.
Looking ahead to Saturday, the weather will change significantly. The forecast indicates a cloudy day from early on, with rain starting from 12:00 noon. Maximum temperatures will drop slightly to 32 degrees, and minimums will decrease to 23. The wind will continue to be light from the east.
On Sunday, instability will persist. Cloudy intervals with storms and light rain are expected from dawn, giving way to a sky with cloudy intervals and weak precipitation. Temperatures will experience a more pronounced drop: the minimum will fall to 20 degrees and the maximum will remain at 29. The wind, coming from the southeast, will be light.
In other municipalities in the metropolitan area, the behaviour will be similar. In Barcelona, the day will start clear and will become cloudy from midday, with temperatures ranging from 26 to 32 degrees. In Sabadell, the skies will be clear in the morning and will become overcast from 12:00, with a minimum of 23 and a maximum of 35 degrees.
The yellow alert activated by AEMET for the province is due to the forecast of high temperatures, which could exceed 34 degrees in some inland areas. However, L'Hospitalet, due to its coastal location and the influence of the sea, is exempt from this warning, although the feeling of mugginess will be notable during the hottest hours of the day.
Residents of L'Hospitalet should keep in mind that, despite not being on alert, temperatures will hover around 33 degrees, so hydration is recommended and exposure to the sun during the hottest hours should be avoided. AEMET reminds that meteorological information is provisional and subject to updates.
For the beginning of next week, models indicate a progressive stabilisation, with temperatures possibly rising again from Tuesday. However, uncertainty is high and it is recommended to check updated forecasts on the AEMET website.
