Arturo Ruiz's team faces Torreense this Saturday, a rival competing in the Champions qualifiers, in a match with free entry. It will be the debut of the new signings.

Real Sociedad Women begin their preseason this Saturday (11:00 hours) with a high-level friendly against Portuguese Torreense at the Zubieta Stadium. The match, with free entry for fans, will serve as the first test for the team led by Arturo Ruiz after the initial weeks of training.

Torreense is not just any opponent. The Portuguese team will compete in this season's second qualifying round of the Champions League, while Real Sociedad will enter directly into the third qualifying phase. However, both teams cannot face each other in Europe due to the competition's ranking system, making this friendly a demanding test with no continental consequences.

The match will be marked by the debut of the new signings. Unless there are setbacks, fans will see Lucía Laborde, Ava Seelenfreund, Ainoa Marín, Camino, Keefe, and Marín don the txuri-urdin shirt for the first time. Notably, Seelenfreund arrives from Torreense, so she will face her former teammates just weeks after moving from Portugal to San Sebastián.

For this first summer commitment, the coaching staff has called up 18 first-team players and six from the reserve team. The main absence will be Molina, who is still recovering from her injury. Meanwhile, Lezeta is already training with the group, although it seems she will not get minutes in this first friendly.

Beyond the result, the match will help start building competitive rhythm, test the new project, and assemble a squad that faces an exciting season with the goal of competing for European spots again. Real Sociedad aims to regain the solidity that took them to the elite of Spanish women's football.

The match will take place on pitch 1 of the Zubieta facilities, with free access for fans who want to come and see the team's early developments. A good turnout is expected to witness the debut of the new signings and see the first glimpses of the playing style that Arturo Ruiz intends to implement this season.

The Donostiarra team's preseason will include several more friendlies before the start of Liga F, although not all dates have been confirmed yet. The goal is to arrive at the first official match with as much match practice as possible and with the squad already adapted to the new tactical schemes.

Torreense, for its part, arrives at this friendly after intense preparation and with high morale from their European qualification. It will be a good measure to see the real level of Real Sociedad before facing official commitments.
