The Summer Festival in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda will take place from September 2 to 6 with traditional dances, concerts, fire runs, and new features like a musical bingo and the return of the giant water slide.
Santa Perpètua de Mogoda is preparing for five days of intense celebration. The Summer Festival of 2026 will be held from September 2 to 6, and the programme includes activities for all audiences, from morning to night, with a clear commitment to the participation of local entities and new features designed to surprise residents.
The programme will kick off on Wednesday, September 2, with an art exhibition, leading to the opening speech on Thursday, September 3, the event that marks the official start of the main festivities. From that moment on, the city will be filled with traditional dances, covers, lively dances, vermouth concerts, tardeo, tribute acts, havaneras, and the popular Deskoncerts.
The Summer Festival and Deskoncerts committees have worked for months to finalize a proposal that this year includes two notable new features. On one hand, a musical bingo session will take place on Thursday after the opening speech at the Rambla, and on the other hand, the return of the giant water slide, which can be enjoyed on the afternoon of September 4 at the Avinguda de l'Onze de Setembre.
A new children's Tardeo has also been scheduled for Sunday, September 6, in the courtyard of the Vapor, a proposal designed to ensure that the youngest also have their festive space. The festival will conclude with the traditional fireworks display, marking the end of five days of intense activities.
Local entities will play a leading role. They will participate with dances, parades of Bandolers and Giants, board games, fire runs, and sports events, a combination that ensures the festival reaches all corners of the municipality and that residents feel it is their own.
To accompany these days of celebration, the Santa Perpètua City Council has reissued the festival banners, which had been out of stock for ten years. The new banners, featuring the updated slogan SPM is Celebrating, can be collected for free, with a maximum of one per household, on August 26, 27, 28, and 31, and September 1 and 2.
Collection points will be the Town Hall and Granja Soldevila, from 9 am to 2 pm, and the Can Folguera Civic Centre, from 5 pm to 8 pm. The aim is for residents to hang these banners on balconies and windows during the festival days, contributing to decorate the city and create a festive atmosphere from day one.
