The Parets del Vallès Town Council has implemented summer hours for various municipal facilities and services. Libraries, cultural centres, and some sports facilities will close during August.
The Parets del Vallès Town Council has adjusted the hours of several municipal services and facilities for the summer period, with partial closures and modifications to public service hours that will remain in effect until September. These measures affect everything from the citizen service office to sports and cultural facilities.
The Citizen Attention Office (OAC) at Plaça de la Vila 1 is already operating on summer hours: Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 2 pm, without the need for an appointment. This schedule will be in effect until September 15. In contrast, the OAC in the IVECO sector will remain closed throughout August.
Cultural facilities will close during August. The Can Rajoler Library and the Can Butjosa Children's and Youth Library will be closed from August 1 to August 31. The Can Rajoler Cultural Centre will close from August 3 to August 31, while the Can Butjosa Casal will close from July 26 to August 31. The Cal Jardiner Youth Centre will also remain closed throughout August and will resume activities on September 1.
The Social Rights office will maintain reduced hours: in July and August, it will be open Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 12 pm. During August, services will be available exclusively by phone. In contrast, the Municipal Senior Centres will not change their summer hours. The Sant Jordi Senior Centre opens Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 8 pm, and on weekends and holidays from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm. The Ca n'Oms Senior Centre opens every day from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 8 pm, and the Asoveen Senior Centre from Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm.
Sports facilities are also adapting. The Municipal Football Field will be closed until August 17. The Joaquim Rodríguez Municipal Sports Centre will remain closed until August 23, after which it will open for closed-door training sessions. The outdoor summer pool will operate until September 6, from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm. The Miquel Luque Municipal Pool will close from August 1 to August 16.
The Municipal Cemetery is already applying summer hours, valid until August 31. It opens on Tuesdays from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm, and from Wednesday to Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. It is closed on Mondays, Sundays, and holidays.
Finally, the Parets Regional Recycling Centre also has special hours: from July 1 to August 31, it opens on Tuesdays from 4 pm to 7 pm, and from Wednesday to Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm. It is closed on Mondays.
The Town Council reminds residents that these hours are temporary and that most services will resume their regular hours starting September 1. Residents are advised to plan their visits in advance to avoid inconveniences.
