The Bilbao-born artist based in Catalonia will present her new album 'Cada vegada que et veig ho entenc' in the 'Paraules als Claustres' cycle.

The singer-songwriter and guitarist Amaia Miranda, born in Bilbao in 1993 and residing in Catalonia, will give a concert this Friday, July 24 at 20:00 in the cloister of Sant Francesc in Vilafranca del Penedès, as part of the Paraules als Claustres cycle.

Miranda, who trained in classical guitar at ESMUC and later in modern and flamenco guitar at the Taller de Músics, has toured with artists such as Christina Rosenvinge, Gorka Urbizu, and Amaia Romero, and has produced for Luisa i Mar and Mariana. Her music, which combines Basque, Catalan, and Spanish, has been recognised by media outlets such as NPR, Rockdelux, Mondo Sonoro, and Ruta 66.

A new album that marks an experimental turn

The concert will serve to present her third album, Cada vegada que et veig ho entenc (Vida Records, 2026). Unlike her first two works, recorded live without cuts, this new release represents a commitment to experimentation and the search for new sonic paths.

The artist, who claims to be “hooked on a guitar since she was little,” has created a deep bond with the instrument that captivates those who listen to her. Her songs, according to the organisers of the cycle, transport listeners to a universe of beauty and sensitivity.

Tickets at €4.50 and online sales

The ticket price is €4.50. They can be purchased online through the Vilafranca events portal or in person at the cloister one hour before the concert starts. The performance will last approximately one and a half hours.

For lovers of live music and historic settings, this event is a unique opportunity to discover one of the most promising voices in the independent music scene. The cloister of Sant Francesc, with its special acoustics, promises to be the perfect stage for Miranda's poetry.

The event is this Friday at 20:00. It is advisable to arrive early to buy tickets at the box office, although online sales guarantee access without queues.
