The municipal dynamisation programme at Can Vinader, in operation since 2024, has recorded days with over 200 users. The initiative offers free access to sports facilities during non-school periods and holidays.

The Castelldefels City Council has consolidated the Can Vinader Dynamisation Programme, an initiative that allows residents to enjoy municipal sports facilities for free during non-school periods and holidays. Since its launch in 2024, the programme has received an excellent response, with peaks of over 200 users in a single day during Holy Week and the summer.

The service takes place at the Municipal Field of Can Vinader, which has an 11-a-side football pitch and two 7-a-side football pitches. During the first two years, the programme also included outdoor sports courts, but these have been excluded this summer due to ongoing improvement works.

Opening hours are from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 5 PM to 9 PM, aiming to facilitate access for different age groups and communities. The initiative is designed to meet the demand for sports spaces during peak times of citizen attendance, such as school holidays.

One of the pillars of the programme is the role of the sports dynamiser. This professional is not only responsible for opening and closing the facilities but also welcomes users, organises usage shifts, promotes respect and coexistence, and mediates in potential conflicts. Their role, with an educational and community-oriented focus, helps create an inclusive and safe environment.

As a new feature this year, the programme has incorporated a surveillance service during the afternoon hours, provided by the company Barna Porters. This measure enhances the security of the facilities, protects municipal property, and supports the dynamisation team, ensuring better compliance with usage rules.

Participation data evidences the programme's positive reception. During periods of high activity, especially at Holy Week and during the summer, the number of users has exceeded 200 in a single day. This high participation confirms the need for open, accessible, and dynamic sports spaces, especially during school holidays when many families and young people seek active and healthy leisure alternatives.

The programme has become a reference resource for bringing sports closer to the community and promoting healthy lifestyle habits. At the same time, it fosters social cohesion and shared use of municipal facilities, creating meeting and coexistence spaces among people of different ages and backgrounds.

For the residents of Castelldefels, the programme represents an opportunity to practice sports for free in a safe and dynamic environment, especially during periods when sports clubs are not active. The afternoon hours, with enhanced surveillance, offer a healthy leisure alternative for both young people and adults.

The next activity period for the programme will be during the Christmas holidays, when a new high demand is expected. The City Council recommends that interested parties check the schedules and usage conditions on the municipal website or at the Can Vinader field itself.
