The Palm Square in Castelldefels hosts a new round of activities from the Palm Market, featuring outdoor cinema, live music, children's shows and comedy sessions, alongside commercial and gastronomic offerings.

The initiative, driven by the Commerce area of the Castelldefels City Council, replaces and expands upon the previous Nits entre Palmeres and Cinema entre Palmeres. The Palm Market has been running since June 26 and will continue until September 5, turning Palm Square into an outdoor meeting point for residents and visitors of all ages.

This week's programming kicks off on Tuesday, July 21 with an Improshow at 8:30 PM. This is a theatrical improvisation show designed for a family audience, with actors creating scenes based on audience suggestions. Humor and participation are the main ingredients of this weekly event.

On Wednesday, July 22, one of the most unique proposals of the Palm Market arrives: the Palm Lights cycle, which offers music by candlelight. On this occasion, at 9:30 PM, live versions of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran will be performed in an intimate setting illuminated by hundreds of candles. A sensory experience that has already been well received in previous editions.

Outdoor cinema and musical tributes

On Thursday, July 23, the film Campeones, by Javier Fesser, will be screened starting at 9:30 PM. The film, which received several Goya awards, tells the story of a basketball coach who must lead a team of people with intellectual disabilities. The film, with a comedic and emotional tone, is suitable for all audiences and is part of the Outdoor Cinema cycle, which offers free screenings every Thursday.

On Friday, July 24, it's time for live music with a tribute to El Último de la Fila, one of the most emblematic pop rock bands from the 80s and 90s in Spain. The concert, performed by the band Insurrección, will start at 9:30 PM and will revisit hits like 'Insurrección', 'El loco de la calle' or 'Aviones plateados'. An unmissable event for live music lovers.

Family plans and comedy to close the week

Saturday, July 25 is dedicated to children with the show Pirates, starting at 7:30 PM. This is an interactive show with games, songs and pirate adventures designed for the little ones. Families can enjoy a fun afternoon in the square, with play areas and complementary activities.

The week wraps up on Sunday, July 26 with the Palm Comedy cycle, featuring comedians Mónica Pérez and Jordi Ríos starting at 7:30 PM. Two comics with different styles who promise to make the audience laugh with monologues and sketches. A relaxed way to say goodbye to the weekend.

In addition to the scheduled activities, the Palm Market offers a commercial area with stalls for fashion, crafts and cosmetics, as well as a wide gastronomic offer with food trucks, bars and terraces by the sea. Attendees can have dinner or enjoy a drink while soaking up the summer atmosphere.

The market operates from afternoon until night, and access to all activities is free. The Castelldefels City Council recommends checking the full schedule on the Palm Market website to stay updated on possible changes due to weather conditions. A proposal that consolidates Palm Square as one of the epicentres of summer leisure in the city.
