The Sitges Town Council has opened the call for social aid aimed at people with disabilities equal to or greater than 49%. The period starts this Monday, August 3, and will remain open until August 31.
The aid is directed at residents of Sitges, under 65 years old, who hold a disability certificate issued by the Catalan Institute of Assistance and Social Services (ICASS). In the case of minors or dependent adults, the person holding the guardianship must also be registered in the municipality.
The amount varies according to the degree of disability: with a degree of 49% to 64%, the aid can reach up to 300 euros, while from 65% onwards, the amount rises to 500 euros. Interested parties can submit their application for the first time through the Town Council's electronic headquarters or in person at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC) by appointment.
For renewals, the procedure is also available online. The council offers the OAC 360º service, at the phone number 93 595 50 94, for those who need assistance with electronic processing.
This call adds to other social aids launched by the Department of Social Rights, Citizenship and Equality throughout 2026, such as those aimed at the purchase of books or school supplies, for large families or single-parent families, and for pensions. All information is available at www.sitges.cat/ajutssocials.
