Els Amics de les Arts and Ginestà filled the Jardines de Terramar last night at the Festival Terramar CaixaBank in Sitges, in a night dedicated to Catalan pop.
The Jardines de Terramar in Sitges hosted a double concert with a Catalan accent last night. Els Amics de les Arts celebrated their 20-year career on the stage of the Festival Terramar CaixaBank, with a prior performance by Ginestà, in an evening that brought together nearly a thousand spectators.
The trio formed by Dani Alegret, Joan Enric Barceló, and Ferran Piqué offered a retrospective of two decades of songs that have marked contemporary Catalan pop. The concert, dubbed "20 years of Amics", was not just a mere compilation: the band also presented "Segurament t'estimo", their new single released in May 2026 and the first preview of their upcoming album, expected in 2027.
The repertoire included classics such as "4-3-3", "L'home que treballa fent de gos" —performed with the special collaboration of the Serrasolsas brothers—, "Louisiana o els camps de cotó" and "Jean-Luc". The band performed with an expanded lineup that included brass section, bass, and drums, and this was their third visit to the festival following the editions of 2018 and 2023.
Earlier, Ginestà opened the night with songs from their fifth album, Gira tot igual, però diferent, released this year. Júlia and Pau Serrasolsas combined new tracks with some of their more well-known titles, such as "Amb tu i per tu", "Les coses senzilles" or "Perdre el cap", in a performance that alternated intimate moments with those of a more pop inclination.
Saturday's programme was completed with a performance by Samire Duo in the Imprescindibles cycle, promoted by the Culture Department of the Sitges Town Hall to showcase emerging talent. Tonight, the festival hosts the tribute show "This is Michael", dedicated to Michael Jackson, while the Imprescindibles cycle presents the concert of Alex & Agnes, a duo that performs musical styles in Catalan, Spanish, English, and French.
With this double event, the Festival Terramar CaixaBank consolidates its commitment to music in Catalan, attracting an audience that filled the gardens and was able to enjoy two generations of Catalan pop in one night.
