The Local Employment Service of Montcada Avança, dependent on the Montcada i Reixac City Council, has consolidated its role as a reference in job searching during the first half of 2026. According to the data presented by the council, the Job Bank has recorded 206 new registrations, reflecting the confidence of the residents in the service.

Between January and June, 60 job offers were managed, amounting to 82 positions offered. A total of 383 applications were processed, resulting in 43 job placements, connecting local companies with job seekers. These figures represent a step forward in reducing local unemployment.

In the training area, Montcada Avança has scheduled 13 training actions aimed at improving employability. A total of 100 people have participated in courses covering job search tools, career guidance, and transversal skills, tailored for both unemployed individuals and those looking to enhance their professional profile.

The councillor for Local Economic Development and Promotion, David Zambrana, has positively assessed the results:

“The latest data reflects the success of employment policies and reinforces the need to continue working to achieve new challenges in this line, such as reducing unemployment below 9%.”
The councillor highlighted the importance of continuing to promote active policies that respond to the needs of businesses and citizens.

In addition to the figures, the semester has been marked by the implementation of the Montcada Inclou programme, aimed at the socio-labour integration of people with functional diversity, and local employment plans. These initiatives reinforce the municipal commitment to economic development and social cohesion in Montcada i Reixac.

For the second half of 2026, Montcada Avança plans to expand job and training opportunities, consolidating a local service that contributes to the economic and social development of the municipality. Interested residents can consult the job offers and courses at the service offices or through the municipal website.
