The Xiringo del COP has unveiled the programme for the Festa Major de Ripollet 2026, with three days of concerts and popular activities in the parc de Gassó i Vargas, from 28 to 30 August.
The parc de Gassó i Vargas in Ripollet will once again be the stage for the Xiringo del COP during the Festa Major, which this year will take place from 28 to 30 August. The organisation has presented a programme that focuses on local and emerging groups, featuring around twenty performances and activities.
The Xiringo, which is defined as a self-organised and self-managed festival, brings together dozens of volunteers to offer a cultural and musical alternative outside of the commercial logic. According to the organisers, the event has established itself as a benchmark of the Festa Major in Ripollet.
The programme kicks off on Friday 28 August with performances by Raconet, Ofèlia Drag, Puigdomènech, Atrako a Mano Armada, and Randompero PD. On Saturday 29, it will be the turn of Roof Bandix, Las Marikarmen, PD Perruka, and a DJ battle between Seliakas and PD Plusvalua.
On Sunday 30 August, the day will begin with a popular vermouth accompanied by PD Blakunin, followed by the traditional popular paella of the Xiringo. In the afternoon, Nyàmeres will perform, Bingo Sense Filtre will take place, and the festival will close with Migats Sound System.
In a statement, the organisers have denounced the "obstacles" they claim to have faced in recent months, as well as "the attempts by the City Council to move the Xiringo from its usual space". Nevertheless, the event will maintain its traditional location in the parc de Gassó i Vargas.
The Xiringo del COP advocates for a safe, inclusive, and respectful festival model, where racist, xenophobic, sexist, or LGTBI-phobic attitudes have no place. Entry is free, and all activities are open to the public.
For the residents of Ripollet, the Xiringo represents an opportunity to enjoy local culture in a festive and participatory atmosphere. The organisation encourages attendance and volunteering to keep this self-managed space alive.
