The municipal theatres of Sabadell offer a diverse programme featuring theatre, dance, circus, and music. It includes 64 proposals and over 100 performances until January 2027.
Sabadell inaugurates its autumn 2026 season with a wide cultural offering that includes a total of 64 shows and more than 100 performances scheduled until January next year. This programme aims to consolidate the cultural model promoted by the City Council, which combines large productions with contemporary proposals and local projects.
Cultural spaces such as La Faràndula, el Teatre Principal, LaSala, and L'Estruch will be the venues where various performing arts disciplines will take place, ranging from theatre and dance to circus, music, and poetry. This diversity makes it easier for the public to access a broad and heterogeneous offering.
Complete programme and renowned artists in Sabadell
Among the proposals are notable names from the Catalan scene such as Albert Pla, Peyu, Emma Vilarasau, Jordi Bosch, Pep Cruz, and singer Anna Andreu, among others. The programme also includes works from different genres, with a special emphasis on comedy, aiming to connect with the audience through humour and social reflection.
For example, Hamlet, starring Albert Pla and Peyu, offers an ironic take on life and death through the coexistence of two patients in a hospital. Other productions like No me toques el cuento and Una idea genial complete this theatrical offering with a humorous and contemporary approach.
Cultural innovations and celebration of the Teatre Principal
The City Council of Sabadell has also launched a new website for the Municipal Theatres that gathers all information and services related to cultural facilities in one portal. This platform makes it easier to consult the programme, buy tickets, and learn about artistic residencies and open calls, thus expanding digital access to local culture.
One of the most significant dates will be January 12, 2027, when it will be 20 years since the reopening of the Teatre Principal following its comprehensive renovation. To commemorate this anniversary, a special scenic visit will be organised on the weekend of January 16 and 17, combining music, theatre, dance, and circus to showcase the architectural and cultural value of this iconic space.
Saló de Jazz and other innovations bringing local culture closer
Among the new features is the birth of the Saló de Jazz, a new cycle that will take place in the Saló del Principal. In October, the first session will feature drummer Marc Miralta and vibraphonist Christos Rafalides, musicians with international careers. The second session will present the Mimah Silla Group, led by Memí Sillah.
This cycle aims to bring jazz closer to the people of Sabadell in an intimate format, thus expanding the variety of musical genres enjoyed in the city. The complete programme is already available on the new municipal website, where tickets for all activities can also be purchased.
The residents of Sabadell have until January to enjoy this extensive and varied cultural programme that focuses on quality, diversity, and community involvement, with activities designed for all audiences and tastes.
