The La Garriga Town Council has announced traffic cuts and parking prohibitions in various streets during the Festa Major, which begins on Thursday, 30 July. The measures will affect locations such as Passeig dels Til·lers, Espai Doma, and the parking area of the pools.
La Garriga is preparing to experience its Festa Major with a special mobility plan. The Town Council has established parking and traffic restrictions in various streets and areas of the municipality from this Thursday, 30 July, until the conclusion of the events, with the aim of ensuring safety and the smooth running of the scheduled activities.
One of the first impacts will be on Passeig dels Til·lers, between Plaça de les Oliveres and Can Xic Corder. From 2 PM on 30 July, parking will be prohibited, and there will be intermittent traffic cuts when activities take place. The restriction will remain in place until the end of the festival.
On Carrer de la Mare de Déu de la Salut, the parking prohibition will start at 7 PM on the same Thursday, also with occasional traffic cuts depending on the needs of each event. The Town Council recommends that residents and visitors plan their journeys in advance.
Espai Doma will be one of the areas with the most restrictions. Road traffic will be prohibited from 9 PM on 30 and 31 July and 1 August, until the events conclude. Additionally, within the area of the stage and tents, parking will not be allowed from 27 July to 1 August. On Avinguda dels Maduixers and Avinguda de Sant Esteve, parking will be prohibited from 8 PM on 30 July until 1 August.
Track number 1 will also have restrictions: on 1 August, from 3 PM, access and parking will not be allowed. On Carrer Ametlla, between Passeig and Ronda del Carril, the parking and traffic prohibition will be in effect on Friday, 31 July, from 6 AM to 10 PM.
The parking area of the pools will be another affected point. Traffic and parking will be prohibited from 2 PM on 31 July until 11 PM on 1 August. The Town Council reminds that this area is strategic for accessing the festival zone and requests citizen cooperation.
On Avinguda del Mil·lenari de Catalunya, parking will be prohibited between Avinguda de la Generalitat and Track number 2. Furthermore, on Saturday, 1 August, from 8 PM to 11 PM, circulation will not be allowed from Track number 2 to Avinguda de Jacint Verdaguer. Likewise, on Carrer de Jacint Verdaguer, traffic will be cut off during the same hours, from the Mil·lenari roundabout to the N-152 roundabout.
The area of the attractions and the fair, located on Avinguda del Mil·lenari de Catalunya between Carrer Berguedà and Carrer Lluçanès, will have a prohibition on circulation and parking from 6 AM on 27 July until the end of the festival. This is a measure to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the installations.
Finally, on Passeig (between Plaça del Silenci and Mina) and on the road of L'Ametlla with Carrer Banys, there will be intermittent cuts according to the scheduled activities. The Town Council has highlighted that these measures are necessary to ensure the safety of all attendees and the proper functioning of the events.
