This year, the Festa Major in Castelldefels includes a charitable event: on Tuesday, August 11, Plaça Neus Català, in front of the Library, will host an exceptional blood donation campaign organised by the Blood and Tissue Bank of Catalonia. The aim is to take advantage of the celebration to maintain hospital reserves.
A mobile donation unit will assist donors throughout the afternoon, from 5 PM to 9 PM. To participate, it is necessary to make an appointment in advance through the Blood Bank's website, where a specific link for Castelldefels is already available.
The Blood Bank reminds that people aged 18 to 70, who are in good health and weigh more than 50 kilograms, can donate. It is not necessary to fast, but a personal identification document must be brought.
