The Town Council of El Masnou has published the autumn senior agenda, featuring around forty proposals for those over 65. Registrations open on August 31.
The Town Council of El Masnou has already presented the activity agenda for the elderly in the municipality for the months of September to December 2026. The programme includes around forty proposals ranging from wellness workshops to cultural outings and celebrations.
The agenda is now available in digital format on the municipal website, as well as in paper at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC) and in the three senior centres of the locality: Ocata, Can Malet, and Can Mandri. Interested parties can consult it to plan their participation.
Registrations for most activities will open on August 31 at 9 AM. They can be made online through the form available on the website elmasnou.cat/gent-gran, by phone at 93 557 17 77, or in person at the OAC.
To participate, individuals must be 65 years or older and registered in El Masnou. Spaces are limited, so the council recommends registering in advance to secure a spot in the most popular activities.
Among the proposals, the major senior festival stands out, which will take place on September 26, along with a varied offering of wellness and health workshops, cultural, artistic, and knowledge-based activities. Cultural and artistic outings are also included, as well as maritime activities such as themed visits to the port of El Masnou and sailing trips.
Additionally, the agenda includes the possibility of organising with the Town Council tributes to couples celebrating their Golden Wedding (50 years of marriage) and to individuals turning one hundred years old. These recognitions are personalised and require prior contact with the Department of Senior Citizens.
Residents can obtain more information by calling the Department of Senior Citizens at 93 557 18 25 or by emailing gent.gran@elmasnou.cat. They can also go directly to the senior centres: the Ocata Centre (carrer de Jaume I, 119; tel. 93 540 37 40), the Can Malet Centre (passatge de Maria Rossell, 11; tel. 93 555 47 26), and the Can Mandri Centre (carrer de Can Mandri, 12; tel. 93 555 63 00).
This municipal initiative aims to promote active ageing and provide leisure and socialisation opportunities for the elderly in the municipality. The variety of activities is intended to cover different interests, from health and wellness to culture and nature.
The registration period will remain open until all available spots are filled. The Town Council reminds that it is possible to consult the complete agenda online to know the details of each activity, schedules, and locations.
