The actor and presenter Quim Masferrer gathered over 1,200 people at the Terramar CaixaBank Festival in Sitges with his show 'Bona gent', a unique performance based on improvisation and dialogue with the audience.
The auditorium of the Terramar CaixaBank Festival in Sitges experienced a memorable night this Tuesday. The actor and presenter Quim Masferrer brought together over 1,200 spectators for the only performance of the twelve events that make up the festival's lineup, with his show 'Bona gent'.
The performance, which premiered in 2018, has already surpassed 500 performances and has been seen by more than 400,000 people in theatres, auditoriums, and festivals across Catalonia. On this occasion, the stage in Sitges hosted an unrepeatable version, created live from the stories and experiences of the audience.
Masferrer walked through the stalls and boxes to engage in constant dialogue with the attendees, discovering characters, everyday tales, and unexpected situations. Without a fixed script, improvisation became the main driving force of a proposal that turned the spectators into the true protagonists.
The artist, known for his TV3 programme 'El foraster', has based his career on listening to and observing anonymous people to transform their stories into stage material. This close perspective, both on stage and on television, has continued in 'Bona gent', a show that champions the everyday stories of the region.
Before Masferrer's performance, the singer-songwriter Sr. Corella offered a concert to present his fourth album, 'COLLAGE', as part of the Imprescindibles cycle, promoted by the Culture Department of the Sitges Town Hall, which supports emerging talent.
The festival's musical programming continues tonight with Earth, Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay, who will perform their only concert in Spain this summer at the Jardins de Terramar, with all tickets sold out. The project, led by guitarist Al McKay, a member of one of the band's most celebrated eras, will bring a repertoire of funk and soul featuring the group's greatest hits to Sitges.
Also tonight, as part of the Imprescindibles cycle, Glòria Freixas and Alejandro Leguizamo will perform, a voice and guitar duo that fuses boleros, bossa nova, jazz, and Latin music in an acoustic and intimate format.
