The Sitges festival celebrates its ninth edition from July 31 to August 12 with twelve large-scale shows at the Jardins de Terramar. Sílvia Pérez Cruz will open the event on Friday.
The singer Sílvia Pérez Cruz will be responsible for kicking off the Sitges CaixaBank Terramar Festival, which this year celebrates its ninth edition. The inaugural concert will take place on Friday, July 31, at the Jardins de Terramar, marking a special moment for the artist, who is commemorating 30 years of her career and presenting her new album.
The festival, which will run until August 12, will feature a total of twelve large-scale concerts on the main stage, the Auditorium, always starting at 10 PM. The lineup combines established names from the national and international scene, with offerings ranging from pop to rock, including classical music and tributes.
The first weekend will be intense. On August 1, Sergio Dalma will present 'Ritorno a Via Dalma', a tour revisiting his greatest Italian hits. On August 2, Joan Dausà will perform with his latest album 'Immortals', released just a few days ago. On August 4, the festival will take a break with comedian Quim Masferrer.
The second week will kick off strongly on August 5 with Earth, Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay, the only concert in Catalonia of this project led by the former guitarist of the original band. On August 6, violinist Ara Malikian will take the stage with 'Intruso', a show that blends classical music and world sounds. On August 7, Rosana will return to the stage with the 'Vamos a Star Tour', coinciding with the 30th anniversary of her album 'Lunas Rotas'.
The final weekend promises strong emotions. On August 8, a double concert with Els Amics de les Arts, celebrating 20 years of their career, and Ginestà, one of the emerging bands in the Catalan scene. On August 9, 'This Is Michael', an international tribute to Michael Jackson, coincides with the world premiere of the biopic of the King of Pop. On August 10, Rosario Flores will review over three decades with 'Universo de ley'. On August 11, Sopa de Cabra will celebrate their 40 years of history, and the closing on August 12 will feature God Save The Queen, commemorating the 40th anniversary of Queen's last concert with Freddie Mercury at Knebworth Park.
The festival also includes the Imprescindibles cycle, which promotes local and nearby talent. Organised by the Culture Department of the Sitges Town Hall and in collaboration with the festival and Ràdio Sitges, this cycle offers twelve small-format performances at the Village Stage, from July 31 to August 12. The Village opens at 8 PM, with DJ sessions, and performances start at 8:45 PM until 9:30 PM, just before the main concerts.
The first performance of the Imprescindibles cycle will be on July 31 with 'Intra-accions', a dance piece choreographed by Roger Bernad Paretas and Martina De Michelis Pallisea.

For the Imprescindibles cycle, tickets are sold at culturasitges.cat or at the box office on the same day from 7:30 PM for 5 euros. There are discounts for advance sales (-15%), library cardholders (-15%), Carnet Blau+ (-40%), Carnet Jove (-50%), children up to 11 years (-60%) and Carnet Blau S (-100%). These discounts are not cumulative.
CaixaBank maintains its support as a strategic partner of the festival, through MusicXperience and the Xperience CaixaBank programme. The festival also features the gastronomic partner Cal Blay, which will offer a gourmet street food selection and a buffet dinner with prior reservation at the Village.
