The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow alert for storms and rain in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat this Sunday. The forecast indicates a day of changing skies, with cloudy intervals and light precipitation for much of the day.

According to the forecast, the early morning will start with cloudy intervals accompanied by storms and light rain. From 06:00, the storms will subside, but cloudy intervals with light rain will continue until 18:00, when the precipitation will cease and cloud cover will increase.

The expected rain will be light, with estimated accumulations of 0.1 litres per square meter around 00:00 and again around 15:00. There is a probability of storms during the first half of the day, and they are also expected in the second half, although with less intensity.

Temperatures will experience little change compared to Saturday. The maximum will reach 30 degrees, while the minimum will be around 21 degrees. Winds will be light, blowing from the south.

Looking ahead to Monday, the forecast points to cloudy intervals in the morning, which will tend to clear as the day progresses. Maximum temperatures will be similar to those on Sunday, around 30 degrees, and the minimum will rise slightly to 22 degrees. The wind will be very light, coming from the southeast.

For Tuesday, no precipitation is expected in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The sky will be clear throughout the day. Maximum temperatures will rise to 32 degrees, while the minimum will remain at 22 degrees. The wind will be light from the southwest.

In the rest of the metropolitan area, Barcelona will also have cloudy intervals with storms in the first part of Sunday and light rain from midday, with temperatures between 22 and 29 degrees. In Girona, cloudy intervals with light rain are expected throughout the day, with minimums of 17 and maximums of 31 degrees.

The L'Hospitalet City Council recommends that citizens take extra precautions during the yellow alert, especially when travelling and engaging in outdoor activities. It is advised to avoid parking in flood-prone areas and not to cross flooded sections.

The yellow alert for storms implies a risk for everyday activities, although of low intensity. AEMET will update the information throughout the day if significant changes occur.
