Midfielder Álex Sala, born in Viladecans, will play on loan at Mallorca until the end of the season from Italian Lecce. The agreement includes an option to buy.
The Catalan footballer Álex Sala Herrero, originally from Viladecans, has become the new player of Real Mallorca. The Balearic club and US Lecce have reached a loan agreement until the end of the season, which includes an option to buy.
Sala, 24, arrives from the Italian Serie A, where he has played for the last season. The midfielder was trained in the youth categories of FC Barcelona, Cornellà, and Gavà, before making the leap to professional football.
The player has accumulated 40 matches in the Second Division, mainly at Córdoba, where he recorded five goals and six assists. He has also played for Girona, Sabadell, and L’Hospitalet.
This Wednesday, Sala has already trained with his new teammates at the Antonio Asensio sports city and will travel with the team to the Marbella training camp. Mallorca thus strengthens its midfield with a versatile profile.
The signing adds to the arrivals of Adri Fuentes, Luvumbo, Soumahoro, and Arnau Puigmal. The red-and-black club aims to improve its performance in La Liga with these reinforcements.
