The Jr. NBA-FEB 3x3 League will hold an event on September 13 in the Feria de Valladolid with 300 participants in the mini category. The 60 teams will represent NBA franchises.

The Feria de Valladolid will host a new event of the Jr. NBA-FEB 3x3 League on September 13, a tournament that will bring together around 300 young male and female players in the mini category. The initiative, driven by the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and the NBA, aims to promote grassroots sports and the values of basketball among the youth.

The event will be organised by the Basketball Federation of Castilla y León, in collaboration with the Feria de Valladolid and the City Council of Valladolid. This competition, like the American professional league, will feature 30 male and 30 female teams representing the 30 NBA franchises, wearing their jerseys and sharing their names.

The teams will compete in a 3x3 format, divided into eight groups. Each team will play a minimum of four matches. The top team from each group (six in total) and the two best second-placed teams will qualify for the playoffs, which will then lead to quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. The category is Under 12, meaning for those born in 2015 and later.

Registrations are already open and can be made until September 1 at 23:59 hours. To register, each team must have a minimum of four players and a maximum of five. Mixed teams are not allowed. The league is open to any player, regardless of their school or sports club; a team can consist of players from different schools, clubs, or even towns.

Places will be allocated on a strict first-come, first-served basis through the MY Jr. NBA App. Once the registration period closes, the 30 accepted teams will be notified and will be randomly assigned an NBA franchise. All participants will receive a free replica kit of the franchise they represent. Teams will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses to Valladolid.

In addition to the competition, the Feria de Valladolid will offer an environment designed for the enjoyment of players, families, and fans, with leisure activities, commercial spaces, and a varied gastronomic offer. The day promises to be a celebration of grassroots basketball in the capital of Valladolid.
