Since July 2024, the municipal service has assisted 7,073 people, present in both everyday spaces and festive contexts, and has provided 17 consultations and 2 interventions for sexual assaults.
The Town Hall of Barberà del Vallès has deployed a total of 44 Punts Lila between July 2024 and July 2026, an initiative that has allowed for the awareness or assistance of 7,073 people in the locality. Of the total, 4,763 were women, 2,295 men, and 15 non-binary individuals, according to data provided by the Gender Policies Office of the council.
The service, contracted for a period of two years, began coinciding with the Festa Major of 2024 and has been maintained continuously since then. The devices have been installed in both daily life spaces and festive and leisure events, adapting to the characteristics of each context to reach diverse population profiles.
Everyday spaces
A significant part of the service has focused on the so-called Punts Lila Quotidians, aimed at bringing prevention and resources against gender-based violence to the usual places of citizens. They have been installed in the Mercat Municipal Onze de Setembre, the Mercadet, the Primary Care Centres, and the plaça de la Vila, as well as at major events such as the XIV Mostra d’Entitats or in collaboration with entities like the Colla Bastonera and the Volleyball Club.
In total, 20 Punts Lila Quotidians have been carried out, reaching 1,362 people: 914 women, 445 men, and 3 non-binary individuals. The year 2025 recorded the most devices of this type, with a total of 13. The presence in markets and fairs has also allowed for information to be provided to stallholders and shops.
Festive and leisure contexts
At the same time, 24 Punts Lila have been deployed in festive and leisure contexts, raising awareness among 5,711 people: 3,849 women, 1,850 men, and 12 non-binary individuals. These devices have been present at the Festes Majors, Estiu Jove, Pre-Xiri, Castanyada, Festa Jove d’Hivern, Carnestoltes, and other events in the municipality.
In these environments, the Punts Lila have developed a dual function: awareness and prevention on one hand, and detection, advice, support, and intervention in potential situations of gender-based violence on the other. At the most crowded devices, such as the Festa Major, two fixed points – in Can Serra and the plaça de la Vila – were combined with a roaming pair that moved through the festive spaces.
Attention and support
In addition to the awareness-raising work, the night-time Punts Lila have played an important role in providing attention and support. During these two years, professional teams have assisted individuals who approached the service seeking advice on situations of gender-based violence, as well as cases of assaults that required intervention or support. In total, 17 consultations have been recorded, 2 interventions for sexual assaults, 6 referrals to the Police, and 2 referrals to medical services.
Education and awareness
Awareness has been one of the main axes of the Punts Lila. To facilitate participation and generate spaces for reflection, dynamics adapted to different ages and profiles have been used, focusing on issues such as gender-based violence, myths of romantic love, gender roles and stereotypes, co-responsibility, sexuality, affective and sexual diversity, and the history of the feminist movement.
Among the activities developed are dynamics such as the Iceberg of violence, Truth or lie, Me too, Who does what?, Feminist trivia, Feminist timeline, Myth or reality about sexuality, Feminist pass-the-word, or the Equality domino, among others. Some of these activities have been specifically adapted for children and youth audiences.
The Town Hall of Barberà del Vallès thus reaffirms its commitment to building a city free from gender-based violence, consolidating the Punts Lila as a fundamental tool for detection, prevention, and support. The service will continue to be active, adapting to the needs of the citizens and expanding its presence in the everyday and festive spaces of the municipality.
