Line 1 of the urban bus in Mollet del Vallès will be free from August 15 to 18 at night, with an on-demand stop service for women, minors, and vulnerable people. Additionally, the hours will be extended until 3 in the morning.
The Mollet del Vallès City Council has announced that Line 1 of the urban bus will be free during the nights of Fiesta Mayor, which will take place from Saturday, August 15 to Tuesday, August 18. The service will extend its usual hours until 3 in the morning to facilitate night travel.
The free service will apply during night hours, coinciding with the service extension. Furthermore, a demand-based stop system will be implemented, specifically designed for women, vulnerable individuals, and those under 18, with the aim of preventing gender-based violence.
Users wishing to use this service must request it before arriving at the stop where they wish to get off, and they must do so through the front door. The City Council warns that the chosen drop-off point must be safe and not pose a danger to the passenger.
During the festival days, the bus will not run along Avenida Libertad or Jaume I, as the route will be diverted via Avenida Calderó. An alternative stop will be set up on Avenida Badalona to replace those cancelled on Avenida Libertad, Berenguer III, and Avenida Burgos.
This measure aims to encourage the use of public transport during a period of high attendance and ensure the safety of residents travelling at night. The route and schedule changes will be signposted at the affected stops.
