From this Wednesday, 5 August, until Monday, 10 August, the streets Saclosa and Cardenal Lluch in Manresa will experience traffic restrictions and changes to urban bus lines to reinforce the pavement of their roadways.

The Manresa City Council will begin works on Wednesday, 5 August, to reinforce the pavement of the roadways of the streets Saclosa and Cardenal Lluch, which currently support the passage of buses diverted from Guimerà. The works will last for five days, until Monday, 10 August, and will require traffic to be cut off in several sections of both roads.

The closures will affect the section of Cardenal Lluch between plaça Independència and Pompeu Fabra, and the section of Saclosa between carrer Bruc and plaça Independència, where parking will also be prohibited. However, vehicle traffic will be maintained on carrer Canonge Montanyà towards carrer Carrió, passing through plaça Independència.

Access to the Catalònia parking will be via carrer Era de l'Esquerra and the exit via Cardenal Lluch and Pompeu Fabra. To access the SAM parking, vehicles must enter via plaça Neus Català, pass along the side of the Passeig (Casino side), and access Cardenal Lluch. For this reason, motorcycle parking will be prohibited and the bollards in this section will be removed.

The bus stop on carrer Pompeu Fabra will be disabled during the works, affecting the lines L1 Balconada, L2 La Parada, L3 Mion, and L11 Centre Històric. Buses on lines L1, L2, and L3 that travel down Saclosa will be diverted via carrer Era de l'Esquerra, where a temporary stop has been set up at number 9, very close to the one on Pompeu Fabra.

For line L11 Centre Històric, both the Pompeu Fabra stop and the Bruc-Renaixença stop will be removed. Buses on this line, which travel up from the Valldaura neighbourhood via carrer Bruc and down via Saclosa, will be diverted towards the Carretera de Cardona to continue their usual route.

The City Council has posted informative signs throughout the affected area to alert citizens. Maps showing the impacts on each line can also be consulted on the municipal website and at the stops themselves, as well as through the Bus Manresa app and the phone number 93 875 71 50.

These works are part of the reurbanisation of the area, which mainly focused on widening the sidewalks, and now aim to reinforce the road surface to support the weight of the buses that were removed from Guimerà.
