Rodalies users encountered a new incident this morning on the R3 line. A breakdown in the system that regulates railway traffic has forced the suspension of circulation between the Fabra i Puig and Puigcerdà stations, as reported by Renfe.
The company has activated an alternative device to minimise inconvenience to travellers. Those needing to travel can use the R4 line, which connects L'Hospitalet de Llobregat with Fabra i Puig and Montcada Bifurcació. Additionally, a bus service has been established between Fabra i Puig and Puigcerdà/la Tor de Querol to cover the affected section.
It is worth noting that the R3 was already operating under prior restrictions due to ongoing works. Currently, the railway service was only provided between La Garriga and Puigcerdà, so the breakdown has worsened an already complicated situation for regular users.
Specialised technicians are currently working to locate and repair the breakdown as soon as possible. Renfe has assured that it will provide timely updates on any developments and has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
For residents of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, who are using the R4 as an alternative, it is recommended to check the updated schedules on the Rodalies website or mobile app, as there may be increased frequency or occasional delays due to the higher influx of travellers.
