Officers will have two new units with compartments for detainees and mobile office technology. The fleet now includes four vehicles adapted for these transfers.

The Local Police of Montcada i Reixac has expanded its fleet with two specially equipped vehicles for the safe transfer of detained individuals. The new units, presented this Friday, feature a separate rear compartment and a specific kit for this purpose.

The vehicles include a computer, printer, and other technological tools that allow officers to carry out administrative tasks and procedures from the scene of the intervention. They function as mobile offices, which speeds up police operations and improves daily work efficiency.

The Battenberg pattern has also been incorporated, a high-visibility marking system adapted to current regulations. This design facilitates the identification of police vehicles both day and night, enhancing safety on the roads and streets of the municipality.

The Councillor for Local Police, David Zambrana, highlighted that this addition represents "a reinforcement of the fleet, with the latest technology applied to citizen safety." In his statements, he emphasized that this new equipment "will help improve the Local Police's response capacity in their daily operations."

For his part, the Mayor, Bartolo Egea, noted that the new vehicles will allow for "a more efficient, faster, and safer way of working for the officers." The councillor praised the council's commitment to modernizing the resources of local security forces.

With these additions, the Local Police fleet now consists of four vehicles adapted for the transfer of detainees, two off-road vehicles, four electric motorcycles, and a hybrid van equipped to support citizen safety operations.

The arrival of these vehicles represents another step in the vehicle fleet renewal plan that the Montcada i Reixac City Council has been developing in recent years. The commitment to more efficient vehicles with cutting-edge technology aims to improve the operational capacity of the local police and, consequently, the safety of residents.

Officers will be able to carry out administrative procedures from the vehicle itself, which previously required trips to police stations, thus reducing response times and freeing up resources for other tasks. This functionality is particularly useful in interventions that require immediate attention on the ground.

The Battenberg pattern, already used by other police forces, is a system of reflective colours that enhances the visibility of vehicles in low-light conditions. Its incorporation into the new vehicles of Montcada i Reixac aligns with the trend of standardizing safety protocols in local police forces.

With these improvements, the Local Police of Montcada i Reixac strengthens its capacity to ensure citizen safety and provide a more agile and efficient service to residents. The investment made by the council is part of a long-term strategy to modernize the municipality's police resources.

The new vehicles are already operational and will be integrated into the regular patrol and service shifts. The expectation is that their use will help reduce intervention times and improve coordination among officers on the ground.
